Travelling at high speed between France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are the red Thalys trains. The distinctive modern trains are fast and comfortable offering internet access, refreshments and spacious cabins to relax and enjoy the journey. There are two levels of service on-board for passengers to choose from and both offer a superb way to travel the two hours between Brussels and Amsterdam.
Brussels Midi/Zuid station is just five minutes from the centre of this important European city. There are easy connections to other Thalys routes and international trains, the airport and public transport. Amsterdam Centraal is on the banks of the river Amstel and faces the city centre with the central square just a ten minute walk away. There are ferries, trams, buses, bikes and taxis all within a few steps of the station exit. Trains leave regularly for Schiphol Airport too.
Between Brussels and Amsterdam a point to point ticket is a good option but for travellers who want to explore further afield throughout The Netherlands and beyond, there are other rail passes available including a Eurail Select pass for travel in five bordering countries or regional passes like the Eurail Benelux-France pass.

"We got on the slow train in Amsterdam by mistake which is easily done as it leaves at the same time and myself and my husband had different times on our tickets for the Thalys train. By the time we realised and got off we had missed the Thalys train. We had to buy new tickets and missed our Eurostar connection. Fortunately the good people at Eurostar allowed us to use the same tickets. I suggest that the announcements at Amsterdam could be made clearer "
"We did not train to Belgium because Belgium was a strike by train. So we took a bus from belgium to holand and then We took the train from Holland to Amsterdam. We came to Amsterdam in nine and a half at night!!!! There is not much luggage space and accessibility. "
"Fast train that was several hours late. Waiting on the freezing Bx Midi station among clochards was a complete opposite to the excellent inside comfort of the train. "
"Booking process from Australia was easy. Found our carriages with ease and staff were helpful. Nice warm trains when we were newly arrived from the heat of Australia. Got a bit stressed in changing trains from Thalys to TGV in Bruxelles due to short time frame between trains but we made it! "
"It was a pleasure travelling by Thalys train from Paris to Amsterdam "
"The first class was great, the workers were nice. But we almost missed our connection due to a delay (30 min) on our first train. "
"The train was not crowded and I sat alone at a four-seater for the whole ride. It was a good place to sit if you need to get off the train quickly. It is situated near the door so it might get cold (in winter) when the door opens. Also note that the train stops at Midi, which apparently is also Zuid in this case, and is not Centraal. I was alone but was lucky to have fellow passengers of all ages and either from Belgium or France with me because they were trying to figure out which stop was which. The stops were on time and it was overall a comfortable short ride from Bruges to Brussels Midi. Assistance was also always available; the staff were situated in the station and on platforms to help to guide passengers to the area they should best board the train. "
"More security feature inside the train to easily catch pickpockets and to safeguard the passengers luggage "
"I was expecting a meal at the time i travelled (6pm tp 8pm) and only received a small sandwich so was not impressed. Provision of internet was good "
"So comfortable and full of services as we expected before. "
"Servicio eficiente y rápido. "

"The trip was very good. No problems, or hassels. The sitting area in Paris Nord is used by any member of the public. As it is a known fact that there are often pick-pockets at Gare Paris du Nord, you have to be on the alert for (1) non-Thalys train users that also use the facility and (2) beggars that roam the sitting area. The service from Rail Europe (SA agent) was very good. "

"Travelled on Thalys first class from amsterdam to brussels, the journey was so convenuent. I purchased online tickets and as was told that I will receive my tickets through DHL from Rail Europe's office in India. I received the tickets within a week and all selected route and numbers were perfect. BUT the Indian office of Rail Europe messed uo other info. On the ticket fir which I had to face some kind of harrasment at amsterdam central station and wasted almost arguing with the tickting office there. When purchasing tickets online i typed correct passenger names and address, but in the tickets which i received via your indian office the passenger's names were completely different, and also my country of residence is Tanzania but i dont know in the tickets they wrote India as my country of residence. Other than such silky typing errors everything else went well and THANK YIU RAIK EUROPE "
